🍞 Terms and Conditions of Service for Maryna’s Bread Micro Bakery

 

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the ordering, sale, and delivery of bread and baked goods (“Products”) provided by Maryna’s Bread (“We,” “Us,” “Our”) to the client (“You,” “Your”). By placing an order with Us, You agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Ordering and Production Notice

 

  • Made to Order: All Products are handcrafted and baked specifically per Your request. We do not hold stock of baked goods for immediate delivery.

  • 48-Hour Notice: To allow for our fermentation and baking process, orders must be placed with a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours’ notice prior to the desired delivery day.

  • Order Confirmation: Your order is not confirmed until You receive a notification from Us (via email or text) accepting the order and confirming the delivery slot.

2. Payment Terms

 

  • Online Payment: We offer the option to pay on line by Debit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
  • Pay on Delivery (POD): We offer the option to pay by Cash,Debit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay on Delivery. If You select this option at checkout:

    • You agree to pay the full order amount in cash at the time of handover.

    • Please ensure You have the exact amount available, as our delivery drivers may not carry change.

    • Although payment is collected upon delivery, placing an order constitutes a binding agreement to purchase the goods.

  • Failure to Pay: Failure to provide payment upon delivery will result in the Product being withheld and may result in the refusal of future orders.

3. Delivery Policy

 

  • Delivery Area: We strictly provide delivery services only within the city limits of Aberdeen, Scotland. Orders placed for addresses outside this zone will be cancelled.

  • Delivery Schedule: Delivery is available Tuesday through Friday only.

  • Delivery Window: We will provide an estimated time slot for your delivery. You must ensure someone is available at the address to receive the goods and provide payment.

4. Saturday Operations & Farmer’s Markets

 

  • No Home Delivery: We do not offer home delivery services on Saturdays, Sundays, or Mondays.

  • Farmer’s Markets: On Saturdays, We may operate a stall at local Farmer’s Markets.

  • Client Responsibility: If You wish to purchase bread on a Saturday, You must contact Us or check our social media/website before placing an order to confirm:

    1. That We are attending a market that week.

    2. That We have the capacity to set aside bread for You to collect at the market.

5. Food Safety and Standards

 

  • Compliance: We are a registered food business. All Products are prepared, baked, and handled in strict accordance with Food Standards Scotland guidelines and hygiene regulations.

  • Allergens: While we follow strict cleaning protocols, our kitchen handles wheat (gluten), nuts, seeds, dairy, and eggs. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. Please disclose any allergies clearly in the notes section when placing Your order.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

 

  • Inability to Realize Order (Our Cancellation):

    • In the unlikely event that We are unable to fulfill Your order due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., equipment failure, illness, or ingredient shortages), We will notify You immediately.

    • If You selected Cash on Delivery: The order will be cancelled, and no payment will be due.

    • If You prepaid (if applicable): You will receive a full refund immediately. We will not be liable for any compensation beyond the refund of the cost of the goods.

  • Cancellation by Client:

    • You may cancel Your order up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery time without penalty.

    • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before delivery are not permitted, as ingredients and labour have already been committed. If You cancel late on a Cash on Delivery order, We reserve the right to invoice You for the cost of the wasted goods.

7. Returns and Defective Goods

  • Perishable Goods Policy: Due to the perishable nature of our Products, the statutory right to return goods (often known as the “cooling-off period”) does not apply once the items have been delivered. We cannot accept returns based on a change of mind or personal taste preference.

  • Inspection: It is Your responsibility to inspect the Products upon delivery.

  • Faulty or Non-Conforming Goods: In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if a Product is found to be not of satisfactory quality (e.g., unsafe, damaged, or contaminated) or not as described (e.g., incorrect item supplied):

    • You must notify Us as soon as reasonably possible, ideally within 24 hours of delivery.

    • We request that You do not consume the affected Product.

    • We may require photographic evidence or the return of the affected portion of the Product to investigate the issue properly.

  • Remedy: If a fault is verified, We will provide a full refund or a replacement Product on our next available delivery slot, at Your preference

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
